The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (GHN) comprises 18 highly collegial faculty who provide tertiary/quaternary-care clinical programs and maintain a high volume, high impact research output in one of the leading GI divisions in North America. The position offers a unique environment for medical science discoveries near nine teaching and research hospitals and Canada’s largest university. The Neurogastroenterology program at SickKids is also supported by expert nurses and closely collaborates with well-established adult motility units in Toronto and the region. Further opportunities, collaboration, and support are available through national aerodigestive and neurogastroenterology networks. Academic responsibilities will also include teaching and mentoring fellows within the GHN fellowship training program. Opportunities also exist for teaching in other programs. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($227,000-$300,000) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package.
