Dingwall Medical Clinic is a Family Health Organization (FHO) capitation model which provides a stable income on an established roster. All local family physicians provide additional services with DRHC (ED, 2nd on-call, hospitalist, anesthesia, OB), allowing for individualized revenue streams and workloads.

Average incomes (including clinic and hospital work) range from $450,000 - $800,000/year.  
Billing / Overhead Split
Competitive clinic overhead rates hover around 20%. Enjoy an overhead-free grace period as you settle into your clinic practice, and ongoing mentorship from our welcoming mix of young and experienced doctors.
Billing dependent on area(s) of practice.  
Vacation / CME Leave
6 weeks vacation + 2 weeks CME annually. 
Additional Benefits
Dryden is an eligible community under the Northern Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative - physicians that establish a full-time practice in Dryden are eligible for $122,821 over four years!

DRHC offers an additional return-of-service signing bonus and up to $15,000 in reimbursement for moving expenses.

Practicing in Dryden also makes you eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness - up to $60,000 over 5 years.

Education
Family medicine training +/- extended training in emergency medicine, obstetrical surgical skills, or anesthesia.

Institution Description
DRHC is a 42-bed rural health centre in Northwestern Ontario, including a 3-bed CCU, 24/7 Emergency Department, and 2 modern OR theatres with 1 fully integrated MIS suite. We have a regionally-integrated EMR (Meditech, current development towards adopting Meditech Expanse), on-site diagnostic imaging (CT, ultrasound, x-ray), laboratory services, and nearby pathology (Kenora).

We have over 300 staff, including an established group of physicians with a mix of young and experienced doctors, a local General Surgery team, and local GP/A’s.

DRHC is conveniently located on the same grounds as the Dingwall Medical Clinic and Dryden Area Family Health Team, making collaborative care a breeze. DRHC also hosts a Specialty Clinic that brings in visiting specialists year-round, supporting quality healthcare closer to home. This includes Orthopedic Surgery (knee, hip, spine), ENT, Plastics, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Rheumatology, Urology, Pediatrics, and Psychiatry.
