Health PEI is seeking part-time and full-time permanent Family Practice Anesthesiologists (FPA) to join the Department of Anesthesiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown, PEI. The FPA is responsible for the care of adult and pediatric patients before, during and after surgical operations, labour and delivery, and certain interventional procedures. The Physician will provide anesthetic services to patients for surgical, obstetrical, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. This will include elective and emergency operations, anesthetic consultations, acute care management services, and other anesthetic. Qualified and licensable candidates may be eligible for a return in service grant of $100,000 with a 3 year (5,850 hour) commitment.

Education |
CCFP- FPA Certification, experience is preferred;
Eligibility for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Prince Edward Island; Appointment to the Health PEI Medical Staff and appropriate privileging. Atlantic Registry Starting May 1, 2023, physicians whose primary practice is in Atlantic Canada (and hold a general registration in either PEI, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland and Labrador) may be eligible to obtain registration to practice in all four Atlantic Canadian provinces via the Atlantic Registry.
