Our Anesthesiology Department covers a variety of work both in and outside of the Operating Rooms. The Anesthesiologists provide care of patients in a variety of surgical specialties including general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, endoscopy along with some pediatrics and ENT. Our Brantford General Hospital (BGH) site supports obstetrical care for an average of 1500 deliveries per year. We aim to have a department that promotes a good work-life balance with a flexible work schedule.

We are currently seeking Locum Tenens and Associate Anesthesiologists to join our
Anesthesiology Department. They will be practicing as a part of a group of 14 anesthesiologist
providing anesthesia services at the Brantford General Hospital. This position represents an opportunity to join a group of dedicated healthcare professionals in a progressive organization. Interested physicians must be certified in anesthesiology by Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent (e.g. American Board) or have a Certificate of Added Competence in Family Practice Anesthesia from the CFPC and be licensed, or be eligible for licensure, to practice medicine independently in the province of Ontario by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The candidate should have experience working with both adult and pediatric patients.

BCHS has an affiliation with McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences thus promotes continuing education, teaching and research opportunities for all of professional staff.
