Details: Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 3R9) and the Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, invite applications for full-time, permanent Neurologists to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. The Department is currently looking for General Neurologists and/or those with sub-specialty training in areas including: Multiple Sclerosis Epileptologist Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, teaching and research activities, which job duties encompass 100% of the position. The successful recruit will have, within the University of Manitoba’s Section of Neurology, an academic appointment, with responsibilities of teaching and mentoring. The academic rank is dependent on the candidate’s current academic experience. The section is one of 17 in the Department of Internal Medicine and has substantial resources within the health system, primarily at two academic health centres and one community-based hospital. The 28 faculty members form a section that includes a highly productive and internationally renowned Multiple Sclerosis research group and a strong residency training program. Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Neurology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Experience is preferred. Compensation: Compensation is derived from fee-for-service income (approximately $339,000.00 – $400,000.00/annual).
