ROLE AND FACILITY INFORMATION
Northern Health is seeking a Family Physician to provide Primary Care and Emergency services in Tumbler Ridge. The candidate must be competent and willing to do Rural Emergency Room coverage.

Compensation: Tumbler Ridge is an APP community (Alternate Payment Plan), and is designated a Level “A” community under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA).

The Tumbler Ridge Health Centre is a Diagnostic and Treatment Centre located in a dream location for outdoor enthusiasts.

All health related services are housed under one roof and is conveniently located downtown near the Community Centre. Services include:

• medical out-patient

• dental

• optometry

• ambulatory care

• public health

• counselling

• home care nursing

• emergency care covered by physicians and nurses

Tumbler Ridge is Canada’s youngest master-planned community, with a population of 3,000. The major industries in the area are mining and tourism. The district has affordable housing, two public schools and a college campus. Tumbler Ridge is a welcoming community with glorious mountain scenery and humble small town culture.
