If interested, please submit your CV to Health Match BC, who will refer you to Physician Recruitment at the Health Authority.

A recent Hospital Appeals Board ruling provides you with the option to commence processing your expression of interest/application on receipt of your inquiry. The Hospital Act requires the notification by Board of the approval or denial of medical staff membership in writing within 120 days. This ruling presents significant challenges in ensuring a timely review of a complete application as defined in Article 4 of the Bylaws.

For clarity, no action is required if you would like to have your expression of interest/application move through the approval process once deemed complete.

If you would like to move your expression of interest/application through the approval process in its current state, please notify the Health Authority of your intentions immediately.

If the request for privileges is denied by the Board due to an absence of information, as outlined in the application package and the Bylaws, it is the applicant’s responsibility to disclose the denial of medical staff membership to the appropriate regulatory agencies and other Health Care Organizations as required in license renewal and privileging policies.
