The Service Line Medical Director (SLMD) – Cardiovascular Services reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This individual will work collaboratively with a Service Line Administrator dyad partner, as well as with other members of the system and local leadership teams, in order to carry out the mission, vision and values of the Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). The SLMD will have direct oversight for cardiovascular based specialties within the service line. The position will be .7 – .8 FTE administrative and .2 – .3 FTE clinical; however, this is negotiable. The SLMD will be directly involved with adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, market share/specialty planning, budget and financial performance of the service line (in conjunction with administrator), behavior and quality performance of the service line providers, recruitment for service line specialties, ensuring operational efficiencies and managing outcomes/quality within the service line, setting standards for patient experience, team building and other administrative duties assigned to leaders of the organization. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Required: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.); Training to practice medicine within the Cardiovascular specialties.
