Details: The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and the Department of Internal Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba invite applications for Generalist Attending Physicians in the Department of Internal Medicine. The successful applicant will work closely with the Section of General Internal Medicine to provide inpatient care at the Grace Hospital. The 63 faculty members in general internal medicine form a section that oversees the major in-patient and out-patient clinical care services at the three teaching hospitals in Winnipeg. Section physicians provide clinical attending services on 6 Clinical Teaching Units, in-patient Consult Services, and numerous ambulatory care clinics at Winnipeg’s tertiary care centres and acute care hospitals. The successful applicant will provide care to unassigned medical patients admitted to Grace Hospital and function with a collaborative team with nurses and other allied health professionals. Generalist Attending Physicians are dedicated to the care of their patients, and to continually update their education and skills. As part of the health care team, these Physicians must be able to interact in a positive manner with other members of the team, patients and their families to create a pleasant working environment and to provide optimal patient care.
