Shared Health (1502-155 Carlton Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 5R9) and The University of Manitoba, Department of Pediatrics (business addresses noted below), are inviting applications for a permanent, full-time Pediatric Respirologist to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, prescribing medications and treatment, ordering lab tests and x-rays and other diagnostic procedures, consulting with other physicians as required, which job duties encompass 70% of the position. Job duties are required in English

The successful candidate would also be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointed as a geographical full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompasses 30% of the position. Job duties are required in English.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with specialization in Pediatric Respirology. The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. The applicant will be expected to participate in the educational programs for undergraduate medical students and postgraduate residents. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is required and a commitment to collaborating with others in research and other scholarly endeavors is strongly encouraged.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from a blending of fee-for-service income plus additional stipends. Specialty Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive. Please contact physicianrecruitment@sharedhealthmb.ca for further information.
