Shared Health and The University of Manitoba, Department of Radiology Section of Nuclear Medicine invites applications for dual trained Nuclear Medicine and Radiologist physician located at the Health Sciences Centre. the main job duties include diagnose and treatment of diseases, supervision and interpretation of examinations, ordering of diagnostic procedures, commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching (undergraduate and postgraduate) and conducting research which encompass 90% of the position.

The successful candidate would also be eligible for an appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, and appointment as a geographic full-time member of the Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba, which job duties encompass 10% of the position. Job duties are required in English

HSC is the largest tertiary health care centre in Manitoba. As an operating division of Shared Health, HSC provides comprehensive diagnostic, outpatient (ambulatory) and inpatient services, including being the designated regional trauma centre, which supports the physical, medical and emotional needs of the people and communities we serve. HSC also provides care for cancer patients with our partner, CancerCare Manitoba, located on the HSC campus. HSC provides approximately 250 000 DI services per year, of which ~ 10 000 are Nuclear Medicine including state of the art SPECT/CT and PET/CT. HSC is also the clinical and research neuroscience centre for the province.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine Degree with certification in Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Candidates with equivalent training will also be considered. A minimum of 5 years clinical experience is preferred. The candidate must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation:

Compensation is as per the Doctors Manitoba Agreement for Nuclear Radiologists, starting at $454,593.00/annum. Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment bonus. Please contact physicianrecruitment@sharedhealthmb.ca for further information.
