Details:

Family Physician required for a 0.5 EFT in Fly-In program area. Physician will fly into the community every second week.

Berens River is approximately 270 air kilometers north of Winnipeg on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg at the mouth of the Berens River.

Total population: 3,244

Physicians deploy from Winnipeg via Perimeter Air on Monday morning to Berens River and return to Winnipeg on Thursday evening.

Qualifications: Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba

Must be a member in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)

Must have current Advanced Life Support (ACLS)

If physician does not have the following certification, within six months of contract must have the current certifications:

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Compensation: Compensation is remunerated as per Doctors Manitoba contract April 1 2015 – March 31 2016.
