Job Title: Family Physician (NOC 3112)
Work Location and Mailing Address: 620 Dennis Street, Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, R7A 5E7
Type of work: Full time
Clinic Hours: Mon-Fri 8am–5pm
Walk-In Service: Mon-Fri 9am–8pm | Sat 10am–4pm | Sun 10am–2pm
Hourly Salary or Annual Salary: Fee for service
Vacation: 1 month per year

Main Duties:

Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health Prescribe and administer medications and treatments Provide acute care management Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues Perform patient advocacy role Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care Provide continuous care to patients Supervise home care services Report births, deaths, and contagious and other diseases to governmental authorities
Qualifications:

Must be eligible for licensure with the College of physicians and surgeons of Manitoba Must be a member in good standings with the Canadian Medical Protective Association CCFP preferred
Compensation: Compensation is derived from Fee-For-Service income
