Breast Health Radiologist

BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre (BCW) is the only facility in British Columbia devoted primarily to the health of women, newborns and families. It provides a broad range of specialized women’s health services that address the health needs of women of all ages and backgrounds. BC Women’s is one of the largest maternity facilities in Canada, with over 7,000 births a year, and is both the major primary and secondary maternity services provider in the Lower Mainland and the cornerstone of the provincial tertiary care system. Breast Health Radiologist

Regular Part Time – 0.4 FTE (two positions)

BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre (BCWH) is seeking two Part Time Breast Health Radiologists to join the Breast Health Program.

Reporting to the Medical Director, Breast Health Program, this key role will assume clinical responsibility as well as participate in education and research for Breast Imaging at BC Women’s Hospital. In this position, you will apply current research evidence and best practice standards to address diagnostic imaging of the breast for women referred to the program.

Teaching and clinical research are integral parts of the role. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and aspire to advance academic radiology.

Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the Province of British Columbia, have or be eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Radiology and have completed recognized fellowship in Breast Health Radiology.

The successful candidate will be recommended for clinical faculty appointment to the University of British Columbia. Academic rank, dependent on qualifications, will be recommended by the Department of Radiology of the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
