Medical Oncologist

It operates six regional cancer centres in Surrey, Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria, Abbotsford and Prince George, along with two research centres that conduct research into the causes and cures for cancer.

Medical Oncologist
BC Cancer – Abbotsford Centre
Regular Part Time 0.60 FTE

The BC Cancer Agency’s Abbotsford Centre is currently recruiting for a medical oncologist to start July 2018. The ideal candidate would have experience and interest in treating lung cancer, gynecological cancers and melanoma.

The Abbotsford Centre adjoins Abbotsford Regional Hospital and currently employs 12 medical oncologists, 3 general practitioners in oncology and 8 radiation oncologists delivering a full range of outpatient and inpatient cancer care.

Abbotsford, the “City in the Country”, is nestled in the shadow of majestic Mt. Baker, in the eastern Fraser Valley, and has a blend of modern urban living and a friendly country atmosphere. Thanks to the comfortable west coast climate and surrounding geography, a variety of recreational opportunities are nearby. Abbotsford is at a short distance drive to Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA.

The successful candidate will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC and meet all credentialing requirements of the Professional Advisory Committee of the BC Cancer. Applicants with equivalent training and/or experience will be considered.
