In this unique role, you will be working in an established multidisciplinary Health Centre which provides comprehensive health services to pregnant and early parenting women impacted by violence or substance use, and their infant/children. The Centre operates with a woman centered, Trauma Informed and with Harm reduction philosophy. Health services include Prenatal care and Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT), primary health care including mental health and substance use, health promotion & prevention interventions, medication monitoring and management, referral to Specialists, ordering of lab/investigative tests; medical and psychiatric symptom management.

The multi-disciplinary team includes Nurse Practitioners, Physician, Clinical Supervisor, RN, MOA, Social Worker, Counsellor, Dental Hygienist, on-site availability of Specialists. This position provides an opportunity to practice primary health care with a team of dedicated and committed experts to support women and children impacted by substance and/or violence and abuse. Care is shared between the medical team, with the client seeing the most appropriate provider. As the Physician on the team you would be responsible for OAT and prenatal care. Prenatal care is a team approach with shared care with the Nurse Practitioners and referral when needed to the onsite Obstetrician.
